Personal Data We Process:

PTI processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this information to us yourself. Below, you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:

  • First and last name
  • Gender
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Other personal data actively provided, e.g., by creating a profile on the website, in correspondence, and by phone
  • Data processed as a data processor for our clients
  • Internet browser and device type

 

Special and/or Sensitive Personal Data We Process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have consent from parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify if a visitor is older than 16. We recommend parents to be involved in the online activities of their children to prevent data collection about children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without permission, please contact us at support@pti.nl, and we will delete this information.

 

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data:

PTI processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Data necessary for recording meter readings
  • Data required for the execution of assignments received as a processor from our clients
  • Data for invoicing purposes
  • Sending our newsletter
  • Contacting you via phone, email, or SMS if necessary to perform our services
  • Informing you about changes to our services and products
  • Processing personal data when legally required, such as data needed for our tax return.

 

Retention Period for Personal Data

PTI does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We adhere to the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:

  • Personal data for applications: maximum 4 weeks or up to one year if agreed with the applicant
  • As a data processor, personal data: maximum 7 years following agreements imposed by the data controller
  • Business data: maximum 7 years in line with legal obligations, e.g., needed for our tax return

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

PTI does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a data processing agreement with companies processing your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. PTI remains responsible for these processes.

Accessing, Modifying, or Deleting Data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by PTI, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send your personal data (digitally) to you or another organization you mentioned.

 

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to support@pti.nl. To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your valid ID with the request. In this copy, black out your photo, MRZ (Machine Readable Zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

How We Secure Personal Data:

PTI takes the protection of your data seriously, as indicated by our ISO 27001 certification for information security. We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. Despite our efforts to secure our systems, vulnerabilities may still exist. If you believe that your data is not secure or there are indications of abuse, please contact our customer service or support@pti.nl.
